Some 100 series Land Cruiser variants did not come with the cabin air filters but to add them is extremely straight forward. Three parts and a few minutes of work will leave your cabin refreshed with clean, filtered air.
Kit includes:
- No. 1 cooler cover: 88891-60040 (replaces 88891-60080)
- No. 2 cooler cover (access panel): 88891-60060 (88891-60050)
- OEM Cabin filters (2x): 88568-60010 (DENSO 4531001)
- OEM evaporator cover seal: 88578-47040

Oof. That was a straightforward, yet challenging installation - took about 1.5 hours. Well worth it. As a bonus, I got to replace the leaky seal below the AC.
The ingenious clip allowed me to make a strategic cut in the trim below the glovebox so that the evaporator core could be removed directly without disassembling the entire dash (a 6-hour job for a shop tech). The repair was quick and effective and saved me over $1000 in labor. Thanks!
