When replacing a CV, rebooting a joint, or changing any front-end driveline components on an IFS 100 Series Toyota Land Cruiser or Lexus LX470 it is important to use the correct size snap ring for the axle flange.
V3 of this tool includes 2x M6 holes for pulling the timing crank pulley on a 2UZ-FE 4.7L V8 engine. Many crank pulleys are tightly stuck and require a bit of extra force to be removed when replacing the crank seal (90311-43006).

The correct thickness of snap ring (ranging from 1.8mm to 2.8mm) is selected by pulling the CV axle into the hub using an M8x1.25 bolt. The proper gap, measured with a feeler gauge, should measure at < 0.2mm (0.008") between the snap ring and axle flange.
V2 of this tool also incorporates a puller for the crank pulley found on the UZ engine lineup (13521-50022, also 13521-50020, 13521-50021). This puller tool works for the 1UZ, 2UZ, and 3UZ engines.
