Injector connectors have an unfortunate habit of cracking, especially during the starter replacement job on the 2UZ-FE engine.

However, many Toyota & Lexus technicians are trained to break the injector connectors when disconnecting them so as to prevent cracking the injector clips and necessitating expensive replacement parts.
