OEM+ 100 Series Toyota Land Cruiser LX470 Rear Wiper Motor Bracket Upgrade

The rear wiper motor bracket on the 100 Series Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus LX470 develops stress fractures over time which eventually lead to total failure of the bracket and subsequently of the rear wiper.

During the manufacturing process of the OEM rear wiper bracket for the 100 Series Toyota Land Cruiser, a micro-fracture is created at the base of the bend of the inset bolt hole (the hole near wiring connector slot). This micro-fracture is stressed over time with continued use of the rear wiper, resulting in a tear which expands until finally, it fails completely.

Cruiser Patch now offers an upgraded rear wiper bracket built to outlast even the OEM bracket originally developed by Toyota for the vehicle. CNC laser-cut from 4130 chromoly steel, these new 1.6mm thick brackets are more durable and just as easy to install. Final production versions are finished in a black powder coat for a corrosion resistant protection.

Installation tips:

• Remove the rear wiper to avoid damaging it or the assembly
• Add match marks when removing the motor from its bracket (but rest assured that it can be repositioned).
• Re-use the 10mm M6 bolts (3x) and rubber grommets (3x)
• Test the operation of the wiper before re-installing the trim panel
